Topic 3 Exothermic or endothermic reactions

There are chemical reactions that need to receive energy in the form of heat to take place, this type of reaction is called endothermic, i.e. if we place a thermometer inside the reaction we will see how the temperature decreases (for example, photosynthesis reactions in plants).

On the other hand, there are reactions in which the temperature increases as the reaction takes place, and these are called exothermic reactions (e.g. a combustion reaction).
