Topic 1 Introduction

In ecology, modelling helps catalytically in the research and observation of phenomena as it sheds light on the evolution of a condition over time based on some factors/variables. The concept of function is the building element of modelling. “Living” human chains as a theatrical tool highlight the functional use and value of functions.

In essence, it is a representation of reality by the theatrical tool that shows the need for mathematics to provide solutions to everyday problems of ecology and to predict the future behaviour of systems.
